Dog Walking & Pet Care Services
Quality of Care Your Family Deserves
After an initial preliminary phone call followed by a confirmation email including required forms to fill out, we schedule a consultation at your residence.
We like to make sure we're the right fit for each other, gather essential details, get to know your pet's 'lay of the land' within your home so we are well prepared for the first day of service, and most importantly get to know your pet(s)!
Getting to know who we're taking care of, along with your pet getting to know us, is an essential part of gaining their trust and understanding so they are comfortable during service.
We know how important consistency is for your pet's comfort, so we like to schedule the same person for each visit. If scheduling around your needs requires more than one person, we ensure you are informed and each person is trained for your specific household.
We walk no more than 3 dogs per walk depending on temperament. It's important to maintain safety and control, so we determine how many of your dogs we can walk at once at the time of the consultation.
For safety and liability reasons, we do not take your dog off leash or visit dog parks. Sadly, there are too many uncontrollable factors that may put your dog at risk. We want to do everything we can to have fun but get your family member home safely.
We take every precaution to keep your pet safe and healthy. Everyone on staff must be certified in PetCPR and FIRST-AID, and have a pet first-aid kit on hand.
If a vet trip is required, we contact you immediately along with your specific vet. If we can not get in touch with you, we then use your emergency contact. This information along with your veterinary preferences are kept on file from your initial consultation forms. When time is of the essence, we will use the closest emergency vet.
We communicate with you as much as possible and have your pet's best interest at heart...always.
We email you an invoice which you can pay online with a bank transfer, credit card, Apple Pay or Pay Pal. We also keep it old school and will accept cash or checks. Please note there is a $30 fee for returned checks.
In extreme heat, we adjust our schedule according to the needs of our clients. We arrange our schedule for them as early in the day as possible to beat the heat, and stay off of hot pavement and in cool shady places. Even if that means staying indoors to play after a potty break. This also includes times when the air quality is poor.
There are times we do have to cancel due to snow and ice to ensure the safety of our staff so they can safely get to your pet when conditions improve.
We ask that you please have emergency plans in place for those occasions if needed.
Service fees will be applied for same day cancellations. If you know you have to cancel, we ask to be informed by 5pm the day prior to service, or you'll be charged the rate of the service.
Same day service requests have an additional $10 fee. These last minute requests are not guaranteed, but we do our best to accommodate, so please don't hesitate to ask!
